I am always looking for new ways to better myself in everything that I do , whether it be doing make up, fitness techniques or being a wonderful fiancé to my wonderful and supportive man or to be the best mother I can be. So this post is basically for me to draw out some guidelines that will help me remember my goals and actually keep striving to accomplish them.
- DON'T LISTEN TO THE HATERS: This is somewhat hard and easy for me at the same time. There are people out there that have told me there is no way that I can achieve my fitness goals because I have had 5 children and I shouldn't put myself before their needs. But I do know what I do for my kids and I know that it is ok to make time for myself and I am teaching my children about nutrition along the way.
- USE MY SUPPORT SYSTEM: As I have haters as everyone does I have the most fantastic support system...My Family. My fiancé is so supportive in whatever I choose to do and he knows when something makes me happy he wants me to stay that way. Happy wife happy life kind of thing. My sister is always there for me and always listens when I have things on my mind some days I don't know how I would get through the day with out have her by my side. My mom supports me in everything that I do as every mother should unless its effecting your health in a negative way. And the most important piece of my support system is my children. There have been days that I am doing push ups and my kids get on the floor and do them with me and they enjoy when I critique their form and they look up and say " Is this the right way mommy?" or when they see me struggling during a workout they sit and cheer me on "Come on mommy you can do it." So when I see them watching I know that it is time to push harder so they know that you can achieve your goals even if it may be a small one as to get thru a vigorous 40 minute workout.
- PLAN AHEAD: Always draw out a workout and diet plan. This makes it easier not to put it off for myself because I get a great feeling of accomplishment when I get to cross something off a list of things to do. This also helps for future reference. Helps to look back and see what days that you struggled with and why. Maybe one day made you more sore than another then you know that is something maybe you should work on or work on going deeper on the days that aren't making you that soar. What did I eat the week that I lost those 3 pounds? What did I eat the week that I gained those 2 pounds back. Like I said it is a great reference for the future.
- REMOVE THE NEGATIVE: OK OK so this kind of goes with No. 1 but when I say negative I mean the thoughts that are going through your head when you want to give up and quit moving forward because you are stuck at a certain weight or you cant seem to get that perfect form in a workout that you are trying to keep up with. Just remember that you can and you will. There's no such thing as perfect but practice will get you pretty danm close.
- BE IN THE BEST SHAPE THAT I HAVE EVER BEEN AT THE END OF THE DAY: This is to help yourself feel better at the end of the day that you accomplished those workouts and the most difficult thing ate clean throughout the day. I know that I have a great feeling of accomplishment when I can cross off the workout for the day and knowing that every night I go to bed a little bit stronger.
Well those are my top 5 for now I'm sure that these will change throughout my journey but I feel the need to write these down now so I have something to look back on in the future and I know what to change if something is not working out for me.
